The Los Angeles Kings will celebrate their 50th anniversary in style next season.

Los Angeles will host the 2017 All-Star Game, NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman announced Saturday during his state-of-the-game press conference in Nashville.

It will be the third time Los Angeles hosts the All-Star festivities, which were previously held at the Great Western Forum in 1981, and the Staples Center in 2002.

"Today's announcement is tremendous news for our fans and for our entire club. This means so much. Hockey in Southern California continues to grow at an incredible rate and this is another opportunity for the LA Kings to help grow this great game," said Kings President of Business Operations Luc Robitaille.

The game itself will take place on Jan. 29.
