Somewhere, Johnny Gaudreau is smiling.
Former NHL forward Linus Omark lit his stick on fire during a shootout attempt in the KHL's All-Star skills competition on Saturday.
That's a much cooler - and more dangerous - version of the old FOXTrax glow puck.
Omark resorted to the flaming twig after missing on his first try, and he was apparently named the winner of the contest despite failing to score on both attempts.
Gaudreau wanted to do the same while representing the Calgary Flames in last year's NHL All-Star Skills Competition, but he wasn't allowed.
Leave it to shootout specialist Omark and the KHL to make it happen.
