Islanders' Halak day to day with upper-body injury

The New York Islanders announced they listed goaltender Jaroslav Halak as day to day with an upper-body injury.

Halak didn't practice Saturday and it's unlikely he'll play Sunday against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Goaltending has been excellent for the Islanders this season, and Halak's a big reason why. He has a .923 save percentage in 20 games. His backup, Thomas Greiss, has been even better, posting a .933 save percentage in 15 starts.

Halak's dealt with minor injuries throughout New York's first 35 games, and the Islanders' signing of Greiss as a free agent in July is looking like a brilliant move. Greiss is earning $1 million this season, after he signed a two-year, $3-million contract ($1.5-million cap hit).
