Things got heated in Vancouver late Saturday night.

With the Canucks getting embarrassed on home ice, eventually losing 4-0 to the Boston Bruins, Brandon Prust took matters into his own hands, and will likely hear from the NHL's Department of Player Safety as a result.

Prust used his stick to spear Bruins super-pest Brad Marchand in the groin with only two minutes left in the game:

Prust received a 10-minute misconduct, and was ejected. Marchand stayed in the game, and took the final shift in the third period, much to the delight of the Canucks.

More madness ensued on the following shift after Zac Rinaldo hit Bo Horvat, to which Derek Dorsett took exception:

Vancouver had only 17 shots on goal, as Tuukka Rask registered one of the easier shutouts of his career.

It was the Canucks' fifth straight loss, and Henrik Sedin was none too pleased about it:

"There's too many nights where we're not hard to play against. We aren't battling, we're not pushing," said head coach Willie Desjardins.
