Flyers' Gagner to be re-evaluated Wednesday for cut near left eye

Philadelphia Flyers forward Sam Gagner, who left Monday's game against the Carolina Hurricanes with an upper-body injury, will be re-evaluated Wednesday.
Dave Isaac of the Courier Post reports the 26-year-old suffered a cut near his left eye after faceplanting into the ice after a hit from Hurricanes forward Brad Malone that left the forward bloodied.
The Flyers will face the New York Islanders on Wednesday, and have recalled forward Colin McDonald from the AHL's Lehigh Valley Phantoms in case Gagner is uavailable.
