Ondrej Pavelec: Likely out over a month

Pavelec is expected to be out until January or February due to a knee sprain, Sara Orlesky of TSN reports.

Analysis:

Pavelec's injury is a bit of a blow at the back end for the Jets. He and Michael Hutchinson have have had similar seasons to date, resulting in a fairly even split between the two in goal. However, the injury to Pavelec will likely force Hutchinson into a much more prominent role in net, with the newly-recalled Connor Hellebuyck receiving the occasional starting nod. As of now, Pavelec's return is slated for some point in either January or February, but it should begin to clear up as he progresses more in his recovery.
