The Toronto Maple Leafs have made a few notable cuts from their training camp roster.

Forwards Curtis Glencross and Devin Setoguchi have been released from their professional tryout contracts, while 2015 first-round pick Mitch Marner has been sent back to the OHL's London Knights, the club announced Sunday.

Glencross, 32, recorded 13 goals and 22 assists last season in 71 games split between the Calgary Flames and Washington Capitals. He's coming off a four-year, $10.2-million deal with the Flames that he recently said he regretted signing.

Setoguchi, 28, appeared in only 12 games for the Flames last season, prior to admitting himself into a rehab facility to help overcome an addiction to alcohol, and was seen as a long shot to make the Maple Leafs.

Marner was drafted fourth overall by Toronto this year, and in accordance with the club's desire to bring along young talent more slowly, will spend another season honing his game with the Knights. The 18-year-old scored 44 goals and added 82 assists in 63 games in London last season.

Toronto now has 42 players remaining on their training camp roster, including forward Brad Boyes, who's also attending camp on a tryout contract.
