Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Lou Lamoriello may be looking to reunite with one of his former New Jersey Devils forwards.
"There's more than one NHL exec who thinks Lou Lamoriello would love to get his hands on Travis Zajac," Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported Wednesday in his most recent "30 Thoughts" column.
Lamoriello drafted the 30-year-old center 20th overall in 2004, when the longtime executive was general manager of the Devils.
Zajac scored 11 goals and added 14 assists in 74 games for New Jersey last season. He has spent his entire nine-year career with the Devils.
