Connor McDavid continues to make impressive plays, and the real season hasn't even started.
The first-overall pick threaded a perfect no-look pass from behind the net to fellow rookie Alexis Loiseau, who controlled the puck on his backhand, spun around to his forehand, and scored for the Oilers prospects in their exhibition game against the University of Alberta on Wednesday night.

McDavid also set up Cole Sanford's third-period goal and broke up a breakaway chance with a solid backcheck earlier in the game. McDavid finished with three assists in the Oilers' 6-3 victory.
The hype may be justified.
