With six days remaining in July, seven NHL players are scheduled for arbitration hearings before the calendar turns to August.
Derek Stepan of the New York Rangers, Jonathan Bernier of the Toronto Maple Leafs, and Mike Hoffman of the Ottawa Senators stand out as the most notable names.

Calgary's Paul Byron was scheduled for a hearing on July 30, but agreed to terms with the club Sunday.
Rulings are made within 48 hours of the hearing, while the two sides can agree to terms at any point prior to that time.
