Good night, Black Knights?
Prospective NHL owner Bill Foley released a statement Friday announcing that the season ticket depositors that helped his investment group collect their targeted commitments - pushing them over the first hurdle in attaining a franchise - will determine the team's name.
"Get ready with your suggestions and keep the faith," Foley wrote. "The door has been opened and we've stepped through. Thanks to all of you for your input and support."
Foley, who submitted the official expansion application under Black Knight Sports and Entertainment, has stated previously that he prefers that moniker.
