Salary arbitration dates set; Capitals' Holtby scheduled for July 23

Braden Holtby and the Washington Capitals have 10 more days to negotiate a contract extension before the two sides are scheduled to go to arbitration.

Holtby's hearing is July 23, the first of two dates for the Capitals. Other notable players who could be speaking with an arbitrator include New York Rangers forward Derek Stepan on July 27, New Jersey Devils defenseman Adam Larsson on July 29, and Toronto Maple Leafs netminder Jonathan Bernier on July 31.

All arbitration hearings are scheduled from July 20-31. The Calgary Flames have the most players scheduled for arbitration with three, while the Capitals, the Arizona Coyotes, the Nashville Predators, the Devils, and the Ottawa Senators each have two.
