It looks as though Alexander Semin is willing to prove his worth.
The talented Russian forward was bought out by the Carolina Hurricanes this past week and though teams may be weary of inking the 31-year-old to a contract, Semin seems open to a short-term deal.
Semin is willing to take a one-year contract, but does not want to talk about possibly taking a deal with the KHL, his agent said, according to Igor Eronko of Sport-express.ru.

Semin had a career-low six goals and 19 points in 57 games with the Hurricanes last season, but does have two 30-goal seasons and one 40-goal season under his belt.
