Capitals' Oleksy on next season: 'I would do anything to remain in Washington'
Steve Oleksy may not get a lot of playing time, but he sure is loyal.
The 29-year-old defenseman appeared in just one game for the Washington Capitals last season, but still wants to remain with the franchise.
"I would do anything to remain in Washington," Olesky told Alex Prewitt of The Washington Post. "I love it here, I love the people, organization wise, not just the players, but the coaching staff and the PR people and everybody there has been amazing to me.
"I've never felt more comfortable in a locker room."
The blue liner's three-year deal with the team is set to expire, which would make him an unrestricted free agent.
Oleksy spent the majority of last season with the AHL's Hershey Bears, earning 15 points in 68 games including 147 penalty minutes.
