Dubnyk wants to stay with Wild: 'It's no secret that I've enjoyed my time here'

Devan Dubnyk is looking to parlay a strong half season into a long-term stay.

While the Minnesota Wild's season came to a crashing halt via a playoff sweep at the hands of the Chicago Blackhawks, both Dubnyk and general manager Chuck Fletcher have expressed interest in a new deal that would keep the unrestricted free agent in Minnesota.

"It's no secret that I've enjoyed my time here," Dubnyk said Monday. "I want to be here."

It's a sentiment shared by the GM:

Acquired earlier this season from the Arizona Coyotes, Dubnyk posted a record of 27-9-2 with a save percentage of .936 en route to being named a Vezina Trophy finalist.

The Wild also have both Niklas Backstrom and Darcy Kuemper under contract for 2015-16, but Dubnyk drastically outplayed both, propelling the club to a playoff spot.

Look for him to be rewarded for those efforts, provided the price is right on both sides.
