Wild's Yeo on returning to home ice: 'Can't assume all will be right in the world'
Not so fast.
The Minnesota Wild find themselves in a hole against the Chicago Blackhawks, and though they now return home for Games 3 and 4 of the series, head coach Mike Yeo insists home ice gives no guarantees.
"I don't think we should just assume that because we're coming back home that all will be right in the world," Yeo told reporters.
After losing the first two games to the Blackhawks by scores of 4-3 and 4-1, the Wild find themselves down 2-0. Though the team's been better on home ice during the postseason, the Blackhawks are no pushover.
The Wild are 2-1 on home ice during the playoffs so far, giving up just one goal in their two wins. However, the Blackhawks have historically had the Wild's number.
Chicago is 10-3 all-time in the playoffs against the Wild, including a perfect 8-0 at the United Center.
Yeo and the Wild will look to make that 10-4 Tuesday when the teams tangle at the Xcel Energy Center for Game 3.
