Is bacon the Stanley Cup of foods? One Montreal bar thinks so.
The kitchen staff at Bar Brutus are so excited for the NHL playoffs, they created a replica Stanley Cup entirely out of bacon. The edible trophy looks more appetizing than the real thing, although it would likely be difficult to lift in celebration due to all the grease.
The "Salty Cup" is a perfect example of how Cup-crazy the city of Montreal becomes when their team qualifies for the postseason. The Montreal Canadiens begin their pursuit of the real Stanley Cup on Wednesday against the Ottawa Senators.
