Lightning's Hedman a game-time decision Friday

Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman's status won't be known until just prior to puck drop on Friday.

Hedman is a game-time decision for a critical clash with the Chicago Blackhawks, according to Lightning head coach Jon Cooper, but the blue liner is likely to play.

The Lightning have been off since Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Colorado Avalanche. Hedman is expected to play on Friday.

"I suspect that he should be in good shape," Cooper said.

Hedman has 28 points in 42 games. He missed time earlier this season with a hand injury.
