Report: Lightning's Victor Hedman to miss at least 4 games with apparent hand injury

The Tampa Bay Lightning will return budding superstar defenseman Victor Hedman back to Florida after he suffered an apparent hand injury during Saturday's win over the Vancouver Canucks.

The decision will force Hedman to miss the final four games of their five-game Western Conference road trip, according to the Tampa Tribune's Erik Erlendsson.

The Lightning will host the Phoenix Coyotes upon return from the west coast on Oct. 28.

Hedman came into Saturday's game leading the Lightning in both points and total ice time.
