Report: Capitals, Jets have discussed Evander Kane trade

The Washington Capitals may be willing to sweat it out with Evander Kane.
Washington reportedly tabled multiple offers to the Winnipeg Jets before the forward opted for season-ending shoulder surgery and has since continued to engage the Western Conference club in trade discussion, according to TSN's Bob McKenzie.
Of course, Washington is a legitimate postseason contender in the Eastern Conference and won't be able to effectively improve their roster this season by striking a deal with the Jets.
However, Kane's health could be seen as leverage, should the Capitals have eyes beyond this season.
McKenzie speculates that the Vancouver Canucks and Calgary Flames have also kicked around the idea of bringing in the maligned, yet talented forward.
