Crosby (lower body) skated again Wednesday morning, but an announcement on his status for the game later in the evening against the Capitals has yet to be revealed, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.

Analysis:

Since Wednesday's skate was just an optional one for the Penguins after Tuesday's win over the Jets, the media was unable to inquire about Crosby's availability versus the Capitals. For what it's worth, Crosby was on the ice for about 30 minutes, and indicated he had "felt good" while skating a day earlier. It's possible the Penguins won't provide any updates until the team holds warmups 30 minutes prior to the game's 8:00 ET start time, so Crosby's fantasy owners will surely want to keep track of his situation during that block.
