Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman OIli Maatta will likely miss the rest of the year with a shoulder injury, according to Dave Molinari of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
His season rests on the decision to undergo surgery, which appears to be the most favorable course of action.
Maatta has been out of the lineup since Dec. 6, and has battled myriad health issues in his sophomore season, including cancer and the mumps virus.
