Blackhawks' Toews expected to be 'all right', says coach Quenneville
Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews is expected to be fine despite the nasty hit from behind by Dennis Seidenberg that forced him to leave Thursday's 3-2 win over the Boston Bruins.
Head coach Joel Quenneville didn't seem overly concerned when he spoke after the game, according to various reports.
"He seemed all right. It looks like he's going to be all right," Quenneville said.
The NHL has reportedly begun the process of reviewing Seidenberg's hit, which resulted in Toews' head and neck contorting in an awkward fashion.
Here's another look at Seidenberg following through the back of Chicago's captain and sending him face-first into the endboards.
Bruins head coach Claude Julien stood up for Seidenberg after the game, reportedly putting the onus on Toews for poor positioning.
