Penguins' Dupuis participates in morning skate, could play Saturday vs Islanders

Don Wright / USA TODAY Sports

Pittsburgh Penguins forward Pascal Dupuis assumed his position on the team's second line during Saturday's morning skate, and took part in drills and line rushes in advance of the team's game against the New York Islanders.

Dupuis said he feels a bit better after being struck by a puck in the back of the neck Thursday night, and a decision on whether he will play Saturday will be made prior to puck drop.

He also addressed the scary incident that led to him being carried off the ice on a stretcher.

Dupuis added he made sure to speak with Kris Letang after Thursday's contest, as the shot that hit him came off the defenseman's stick.

In three games this season, Dupuis recorded one goal, three assists and 12 shots on goal.
