PHOTO: Canadiens fan pesters Tuukka Rask with laser pointer

The Bell Center can be a nightmare for visiting goaltenders at the best of times. 

Between the raucous crowd, the P.K. Subban slapshots, and Brendan Gallagher spending his entire night nipping at your heels in the blue; the arena is a tough environment. It's difficult enough that any added distractions - like an over-enthusiastic fan using a laser pointer to distract you - are uncalled for.

That's what Boston Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask had to contend with on Thursday night, though, as a fan brought a green laser pointer to the Canadiens' home-opener and used it to pester Rask.

This isn't the first time an NHL goaltender has dealt with a laser based distraction in the Canadian market. Back in 2010 a hockey fan in Vancouver used a laser to try and distract Miikka Kiprusoff.

Discussing the incident at the time, then Nashville Predators coach Barry Trotz warned that he'd postpone the game if it occurred again.

"If they do it (again), fans will have to wait because I'll pull my team off (the ice)," Trotz said. "Everybody thinks they'll get their 15 minutes of fame. It's brutal."

It is brutal.
