Flyers' Mason to miss 2 weeks of on-ice training with broken pinky, the result of ball hockey accident
Philadelphia Flyers starting goaltender Steve Mason will have his offseason training regiment truncated, the result of a broken pinky he sustained while reportedly playing ball hockey earlier this week.
"Steve Mason broke his right pinky finger playing hockey in Oakville, Ontario on Sunday, July 27," Flyers general manager Ron Hextall confirmed in a team release. "Mason will miss approximately two (2) weeks of on-ice training but will continue with his off-ice training."
From golf related finger injuries to ball hockey related pinky fractures, even the summer is an interesting time of year for Flyers fans.
