Unrestricted free agent Radim Vrbata is inching closer to coming to a decision in terms of where he might sign on July 1, or sometime thereafter.
Aaron Ward of TSN reports the right winger is believed to have whittled his list of teams down to five or six, including the San Jose Sharks, Boston Bruins, Montreal Canadiens and Tampa Bay Lightning.
Vrbata, 33, scored 20 goals and added 31 assists in 80 games for the Coyotes last season; his best years, however, have come in the desert, with stints in Carolina, Chicago and Tampa yielding limited results.
As such, prospective teams will be banking on a measure of success outside of a familiar system.
