Report: Spezza wouldn't waive no-trade clause for deal to Nashville

The Ottawa Senators have been trying all weekend to get Jason Spezza off their roster and on to another as per the captain's request.
Pierre LeBrun reported general manager Bryan Murray had a deal on the table with the Nashville Predators that made sense for both teams, but Spezza didn't approve.

The suitors for Spezza included the Anaheim Ducks before they acquired Ryan Kesler from the Vancouver Canucks, the St. Louis Blues, and the Chicago Blackhawks.
