The Minnesota Wild selected forward Alex Tuch with the 18th overall pick of the 2014 NHL Draft on Friday.

Committed to Boston College for 2014-15, Tuch is the kind of player that is called upon to be the muscle on a skilled line, and, as evidenced by his numbers with the USA U-18 team, he's fully capable of making some noise on the score sheet as well.

Watch Tuch and USHL teammate Dylan Larkin (selected 15th overall by Detroit) score a pair of goals six seconds apart.

Tuch also possesses great skating ability and nice hands for a player of his size, and is described as a ferocious forechecker, which bodes well for the creation of scoring chances at any level.
