The Minnesota Wild were happy to have rookie Charlie Coyle return to Game 7 against the Colorado Avalanche after taking a puck to the face. He needed 15 stitches and returned to the game.

Coyle, who scored three goals for five points in the Wild's first-round series was looking a little swollen on Friday afternoon.

The Minnesota Wild have updated the status of forward Charlie Coyle.

Coyle assisted on a goal scored by Mikko Koivu prior to the injury.

Wild's Coyle leaves Game 7 vs. Avalanche after taking puck to the face

Minnesota Wild forward Charlie Coyle left Game 7 Wednesday against the Colorado Avalanche after being hit in the face and cut by a Ryan Suter shot.

Coyle's status has not been updated by the team, but a report out of Denver suggests he may be done for the night.

Coyle registered an assist early in the game, and scored three goals in the series against Colorado.
