After an internal conversation, the Sabres will move Girgensons back to center, reports Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550.

Analysis:

After an internal discussion between head coach Ted Nolan and general manager Tim Murray, the Sabres will move Girgensons back to center. Nolan, who previously coached Girgensons with the Latvian national team, originally played him at center, but moved him to the wing after it was suggested. It's good that the Sabres have now reached a consensus on how to develop the 20-year-old prospect, who has been one of Buffalo's better players this year. Girgensons gives Buffalo more depth down the middle, lessening the pressure on Cody Hodgson and allowing Tyler Ennis to move to the wing. Girgensons doesn't provide much fantasy value on offense, but with the right wingers he can be a good producer. At this moment, the big boost will be his faceoff win totals.
