Varlamov turns himself into police on domestic violence charges
Colorado Avalanche goaltender Semyon Varlamov turned himself into Denver police on Wednesday, for charges relating to domestic violence. The police department is holding a news conference at 9 p.m. ET about the situation.

The Avalanche released a statement on their website shortly after the news broke.
"The Colorado Avalanche organization is aware of the allegations concerning Semyon Varlamov," the statement said. "At this time, and until the conclusion of this investigation, the Avalanche organization will have no further comment on this situation."
