Capitals' Zachary Sanford: Sent down to minors
Sanford was reassigned to AHL Hershey on Thursday.
Analysis:
Sanford failed to score in the entire month of November and has just one point on the year, which clearly factored into the organization's decision to demote him. The 22-year-old will likely be given some time to further develop his game in the minors. In a corresponding move, the Caps recalled Jakub Vrana and Paul Carey.
