The Winnipeg Jets are reportedly looking to trade forward Alex Burmistrov.

Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported Saturday on "Headlines" that "a note was sent around this week that Burmistrov is available."

Friedman added that he doesn't think Burmistrov's camp has requested a trade, "but there's an understanding this isn't working for either side right now, so the Jets are looking to see what they can get for him."

The 25-year-old has one assist in 11 games. He had seven goals and 14 assists in 81 games last season.

The Jets are banged up at forward, with Bryan Little, Mathieu Perreault, and Joel Armia all out. Winnipeg's thinking, according to Friedman, is that it "could be six-to-eight weeks with an ankle injury" for Armia.
