Predators' Craig Smith: Lower-body injury hurt playoff production

Smith said a lower-body ailment limited him for the majority of the playoffs.

Analysis:

Smith averaged 15:17 of ice time in 11 playoff games -- including a 30:19 triple-overtime output against the Sharks in the conference semifinals -- but his performance left a lot to be desired. The 26-year-old had just two points in the playoffs and was held off the scoresheet altogether in the last nine contests. Despite the unfortunate end to his campaign, Smith can take solace in the fact that he exceeded the 20-goal mark for the third consecutive season -- he had 21 scores in 2015-16.
