The Buffalo Bills are expected to meet with free-agent cornerback Antonio Cromartie, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, citing a source.

Cromartie recently hit the open market after being released just one year into his second stint with the division-rival New York Jets.

Though Stephon Gilmore and Ronald Darby will continue to see work as Buffalo's starting cornerbacks moving forward, he could prove to be a relatively inexpensive addition for a nickel role.

Head coach Rex Ryan is, of course, quite familiar with the 31-year-old's abilities in coverage.

The most productive stretch of Cromartie's career came as part of Ryan's defenses in New York from 2010-2013.
