An unfortunate shower accident has put Tevin Coleman's Week 16 status in doubt.

The Atlanta Falcons rookie running back is in concussion protocol after slipping in the shower and hitting his head, coach Dan Quinn said Thursday.

If Coleman doesn't clear protocol in time for Sunday's game, Terron Ward will serve as Devonta Freeman's backup against the Carolina Panthers.

A third-round pick out of Indiana, Coleman has rushed for 392 yards and a touchdown on 87 carries in 12 games this season.
