The NFL is reportedly shaking up its officiating schedule for an upcoming primetime game due to mistakes made this past weekend.

Pete Morelli's crew has been pulled from Sunday night's matchup between the Indianapolis Colts and Pittsburgh Steelers after errors while working the Arizona Cardinals' win over the San Francisco 49ers, reports Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio.

Morelli's crew, according to Florio, has been reassigned to another game on the coming week's slate.

The league will almost certainly keep the reasoning for the change under wraps, but both the Cardinals and 49ers took issue with the officiating following last week's game.

Veteran guard Alex Boone was the most outspoken 49ers player on this issue, airing his frustrations about the 13 penalties called against his team throughout.

"I'm not really too worried about getting fined," Boone said after the game, according to Paul Gutierrez of ESPN. "I thought those refs sucked."

Though his team ended up on the winning side, Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians expressed similar concern's about the performance of Morelli's crew.

"The officials were struggling - mightily. They can't count to three."

The league has yet to officially confirm the scheduling adjustment, and it's unclear which crew would step in and work the Sunday night contest.
