Agent for Eagles starter: 'Chip Kelly has lost the team'

With the Philadelphia Eagles in the midst of another disappointing season, locker room support for head coach Chip Kelly appears to be dwindling.

An agent for one of the Eagles starters tells Matt Lombardo of NJ.com that Kelly has lost his players' loyalty and is being tuned out.

"Chip Kelly has lost the team," the agent, who requested anonymity over fear of retribution against his client, said. "Between the losses and his bull---- methods that aren't working, I can tell you that the players have tuned him out."

The agent also suggested that at least one player was using an injury as an excuse to stay off the field because "he won't play hurt for Chip." The player could play through the injury, but has chosen not to, he said.

The Eagles fell to 4-6 with their 45-17 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a game in which they gave up 521 yards of total offense. They're still just one game back of the New York Giants for the NFC East lead, though, and players insist they haven't quit on the season.

"Nobody's going to quit," linebacker Brandon Graham told NJ.com Monday. "That would be stupid if you're out there quitting. You're not just auditioning for us, you're auditioning for every team out there because all of us are just renting the space right here."
