The Chicago Bears traded linebacker Jon Bostic to the New England Patriots, according to ESPN's Field Yates and Jeff Dickerson.

Chicago will receive a sixth-round pick from New England in exchange pending a physical, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Bostic was selected in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft out of Florida.

In 2014, Bostic recorded 84 tackles in 13 games. The third-year pro hasn't yet made his 2015 season debut.

It was reported that the Bears are looking to make large-scale changes from their previous coaching regime. Chicago traded defensive end Jared Allen to the Carolina Panthers earlier Monday.

Bears general manager Ryan Pace cited the team's depth at linebacker as the impetus for the Allen trade. With the Bears implementing a new 3-4 base scheme under defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, Allen and Bostic's departures look to be the first of many personnel changes.

The Bears are searching for their first win, and it appears that a massive fire sale could be taking place in the Windy City.
