Dolphins release quarterback Josh Freeman

The Miami Dolphins have released quarterback Josh Freeman.
The veteran passer was signed by the Dolphins in April after spending a year on the sidelines following his release from the Minnesota Vikings.
Freeman was fighting for a roster spot from day one, with Matt Moore firmly in place as Ryan Tannehill's backup. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers 17th overall pick in the 2009 draft may be done as an NFL quarterback.
In four seasons as the Buccaneers starter Freeman threw 78 touchdowns against 63 interceptions and had two seasons in which he threw fro 25 or more touchdowns.
