Titans' Harry Douglas: Marcus Mariota showing 'unbelievable accuracy'
Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota is giving his teammates plenty of reasons to be optimistic ahead of his first NFL season.
Veteran wide receiver Harry Douglas, who joined the Titans in March after six seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, raved about the "unbelievable accuracy" Mariota has shown during OTAs and minicamp.
"If you have an accurate quarterback, it allows us to get more yards after that catch," Douglas recently told ESPN's Paul Kuharsky. "And that's one thing that makes a receiver dynamic - first being able to catch the ball and then being able to do some things with it after you catch it. I feel like (to this point) Marcus has done everything he needs to do to get the ball to his receivers."
Douglas isn't the first person to praise Mariota's accuracy. Titans receivers coach Shawn Jefferson gave a similar review in May, telling Kuharsky that Mariota is "deadly accurate."
The real test for Mariota will come in training camp and the preseason, but so far, he appears to be exceeding expectations.
