RG3: 'You gotta talk small, play big'

Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III has kept a relatively low profile this offseason compared to years past, and he explained why during a recent appearance on "Redskins Nation."

"It's not about talking about it; it's about being about it," Griffin told host Larry Michael, according to Dan Steinberg of the Washington Post. "That's what my goal is this whole offseason. You gotta talk small, play big, take care of the little things so the big things fall into place."

Redskins head coach Jay Gruden named Griffin his starter in February, but there has been plenty of talk since about the possibility of the team drafting a quarterback. Washington must also decide whether to pick up Griffin's fifth-year option before the May 3 deadline.

"The way I look at it is as long as I'm here with the Washington Redskins and they say I'm the guy, then I'm the guy," Griffin said. "I'm ready to go."
