Raiders owner Mark Davis: 'We're still trying to get something done in Oakland'

Oakland Raiders owner Mark Davis said Friday he's trying to keep his team in its current location, although evidence would point to the contrary.

Davis's Raiders partnered with the San Diego Chargers on a joint stadium proposal that would see a new building erected in Carson, Calif., ergo relocating the club for the second time.

With a move to the Los Angeles area appearing imminent, Davis tried to appease his weary fan base.

"We're still trying to get something done in Oakland,” Davis said to CSN Bay Area's Scott Bair. "I've got options A, B, C and D out there. This is an awesome opportunity to work with the Chargers to try and get something done.... Really, it's just another part of the process. But again, we're trying to get something done in Oakland."

Both the Raiders and Chargers are in desperate need of a new stadium. The O.co Coliseum housed the Raiders during their initial stint from 1966-1981, and has hosted the team in its second iteration since 1995.

San Diego has played at Qualcomm Stadium since 1967.
