The 49ers have begun talking with Crabtree about a new contract, NFL.com reports.
Analysis:A recent report from the Sacramento Bee suggested that Crabtree is unlikely to re-sign with the 49ers, but it still makes sense for the two sides to at least touch base. A return to the Bay would seemingly cap Crabtree's upside, as Anquan Boldin is still under contract, and the 49ers will likely emphasize their running game.
