Report: Reseeding likely if NFL expands playoffs

Playoff reseeding could become a reality if the NFL expands its format from 12 to 14 teams in 2015, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said Wednesday that owners will discuss expanding the playoffs in March. Among the formulas that will be discussed, according to Mortensen, is giving home games to two divisional champions in each conference and seeding the remaining eight teams by their win-loss record.
The league has tabled playoff seeding talk in the past, but Mortensen reports that several league sources believe playoff expansion will encourage change.
