Report: Cowboys taking a day-to-day approach with Romo; unsure of his playing status
The Dallas Cowboys are taking a day-to-day approach regarding quarterback Tony Romo's back injury, but they still aren't sure if he'll be ready to suit up on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, according to the NFL Network's Albert Breer.
Romo left during the third quarter of the Cowboys' Week 8 loss to the Washington Redskins after taking a sack from linebacker Keenan Robinson. The three-time Pro Bowler returned late in the fourth quarter, but wasn't able to help his team muster any sort of meaningful offense.
At this point, Romo's playing status is up in the air, with some reports indicating he may miss some time, while others, like the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, saying the quarterback's availability depends on his level of pain tolerance.
