Fantasy football, meet San Diego Chargers running back Branden Oliver.

Playing in place of the injured Donald Brown, Oliver announced his presence by shredding the New York Jets' top-ranked run defense for over 150 total yards and two touchdowns.

Oliver, who draws comparisons to Darren Sproles because of his diminutive size, his shiftiness and his No. 43 jersey, looks like a viable starting running back. With Danny Woodhead on IR, Ryan Mathews out for several more weeks, and Donald Brown's future uncertain, Oliver is poised to be the lead dog in the Chargers' rushing attack for the foreseeable future.

Expect Oliver to be a top waiver wire target this week.
