Fantasy: Andrew Luck tosses 4 TDs for 2nd straight week

Pat Lovell / USA TODAY Sports

The top-scoring player in fantasy football after three weeks of play is Andrew Luck (pending the outcome of the late Sunday games).

The Indianapolis Colts quarterback threw four touchdown passes in Week 3 vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars and he did it again in Week 4 vs. the Tennessee Titans. Luck plays in the horrid AFC South, which means he'll get another chance to feast on both of these defenses before the season's end.

Should you trade Peyton Manning or Aaron Rodgers for Luck in your fantasy league? The answer to that question is probably no, but it's a much less emphatic no than only a few weeks ago. Luck is no longer simply an ascending talent; he's squarely in the elite tier of quarterbacks.

The best thing about Luck for his fantasy owners, curiously, is that he still throws more interceptions than his real-life coaches would prefer. That only costs him a few points in fantasy leagues and it keeps his opponents in the game, meaning Luck has to keep passing late into the fourth quarter. That's a recipe for fantasy gold.
