Panthers' Greg Hardy inactive Sunday vs. Lions
Sam Sharpe / USA TODAY Sports
After the Carolina Panthers insisted that defensive end Greg Hardy would remain with the team and continue to play amid his looming legal issues surrounding a domestic violence case, Hardy is inactive for Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions.
Whether or not Hardy should be allowed to play has been a highly debated topic following the release and indefinite suspension of now former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice, but he will evidently sit out Sunday.
Panthers made call to deactivate Greg Hardy in mid-morning at highest levels of organization, GM Dave Gettleman, coach Ron Rivera involved.
